Hundreds of interested applicants attended the first Special Australia Awards Scholarships Q&A streamed live on Australia in Laos Facebook page last 16 February. Emily Serong, Director of Laos Australia Institute, gave short opening remarks and introduced the scholarships team led by Sianong Phongkong, Scholarships Manager, and Anouvone Thammavong, Senior Scholarships Associate, and a representative from the Australian Embassy, Dalavieng Dejvongsa, Senior Program Officer.

#AustraliaAwards alum Phoutsavanh Bounchaleun also joined the Q&A session. He shared his scholarship program experience, from the application process to his time with his family in Melbourne, Australia.
