Vientiane, 14 May 2021 – The Australian Embassy presented care packages to our 206 Laos Australia National Scholarship (LANS) students (148 at the National University of Laos and 58 at Souphanouvong University). The packages covered essential items such as rice, noodles, canned fish, eggs, soap, detergent, facial masks, hand gels and sanitary napkins.

During COVID-19 lockdown it is difficult for many students to access essential items due to lack of transportation or supplies usually sent by family in other provinces. Besides the care packages, we have also provided financial support for our LANS teachers and students to continue learning online.

The support from the Australian Embassy is greatly appreciated by the University’s senior management.
