2021 Regional GEDSI Leadership Summit
We are so excited to announce an opportunity for you to showcase your Gender Equity, Disability or Social Inclusion (GEDSI) work in the 2021 Regional GEDSI Leadership Summit, brought to you by the Australia Awards program in the Philippines!
The Summit, taking place in late July, will be attended by Australia Awards Alumni from across the Asia-Pacific region. This means you can promote your social enterprise or your GEDSI work to an international network of peers.
There are several ways to participate in the Summit, as follows:
- As a guest speaker
Participating in panel discussions where you can share your GEDSI knowledge and experience to an international audience. (you will have input into discussion topics)
- By providing a ‘virtual’ institutional visit
Of your workplace – this may be a social enterprise or a special project you have been working on which supports women, persons living with disability, ethnic minorities, LGBTI+ persons or other disadvantaged sectors of society. This requires creating a video and then being available for a Q&A about the work you have been doing after the video is aired during the Summit.
- By sharing your Social Enterprise
If you work for, have started, or are involved in a Social Enterprise, this is an opportunity to share your work with an international audience!

We are looking forward to strong and diverse representation from Laos Australia Alumni network, so we encourage all of you to write to us if you have any questions, are unsure if you/your work fit into any of these categories, or to let us know you want to be included!
We must have our list of participants finalised by Tuesday 1 June, so please register your interest by this date. We will then work closely with you to help prepare both you and your materials for the Summit.
